Sailing
Kayak
This
sailing kayak is a 14 foot long swing-wing trimaran that folds to
5 feet wide and is 12 feet wide when sailing. At under 200 lbs weight
total, it can be transported on a car top roof-rack or the smallest
of trailers. Custom roller-ramp and stern dolly accessories make
it possible for one person to load and unload it from a roof rack.
Unique
features include: foot steering; a patented "wedge" transom
with sweep-action rudder; built in flotation in each hull; a 98
sq ft high roach boom less sail with vertical battens and sail panels.
An
un-stayed roller furling mast allows the sail to be enlarged or
reefed while underway. This feature makes the TRITON safe and easy
to use in all weather conditions. Separate fore and aft cockpits
can carry two adults weighing up to 650 lbs total.
Other
accessories include: fiberglas spray shields for each cockpit; a
snap-on lean windshield for the forward spray shield; rudder mounted
electric outboard; a sleeve cover for the mast & sail; cockpit
only or full boat covers; deck mounted fishing pole holders.
When
required, the entire boat can be disassembled by pulling 8 ball
lock pins--no tools are needed. The TRITON can be set up and launched
by one person within 10 to 15 minutes. It is ideal for rentals at
sailing schools, resorts and hotels as it will not capsize and even
non-sailers can easily learn to handle it with 5 minutes of instruction.
